a man stops me in the street
asking directions to a place
that doesn’t exist

he hands me his phone
so I can take his picture

his phone rings
the caller ID says god

I decline the call and
get a rather good shot of him
standing in front of the GPO 

surrounded like a tourist
by pigeons
