Mark Fiddes

Mark Fiddes lives and writes in the Middle East. Recent work has appeared in London Magazine, the Irish Times and The Madrid Review. His libretto ‘Threadlands’ – co-written with composer Joanna Marsh – will premiere at the Pierre Boulez Saal in Berlin in May. His third full collection ‘Hotel Petroleum’ will be published in June by Broken Sleep before a two month residency in Prague, UNESCO City of Literature. He is the 2025 winner of the Ledbury Poetry Prize.
