Bill Greenwell

Bill Greenwell was New Statesman’s satirical poet from 1994 to 2002. In 2007, his Impossible Objects (Cinnamon) was shortlisted for the Forward Prize (best first collection). He won the Magma Editor’s Award in 2017 and has appeared in a number of poetry magazines and anthologies, including The Rialto, Ink Sweat & Tears, The Independent, The Literary Review, Orbis and Smiths Knoll. He helped write creative writing courses for the Open University until retirement in 2015. He lives in South Shields.
